Mission Statement

The South Suburban Association for the Education of Young Children is a membership organization whose mission is to provide support, advocacy, and professional development to those involved in the early care and education of children birth through third grade.

In the beginning…

South Suburban AEYC was established in 1976 to advocate for early childhood teachers.  Board members, at that time, provided training to teachers in the new field of daycare.  We have since expanded to include school systems and home daycare providers and continue to support early childhood educators through professional development opportunities.
